OUR STORY
The You Are Loved Story
It was July, 2007, and my brother Tom and his wife, Tina was dealing with breast cancer that had returned for the third time.
Tina’s breast cancer had spread again, they were waging the fight of their lives. On my way to to help them I called Tom to find out what Tinas favorite color is and stopped by a store and bought a luxurious blanket to comfort her well she was in the hospital. When Tina woke up and she seen the blanket and then felt it, the smile and tears that came to her face said it all. She hugged that blanket looked at me and said thank you so much I love it, I feel like I am at home. After that she would not go anywhere without it.
Tina commented that everyone should have a blanket like hers, saying it gave her strength, comfort and a sense that she was not alone, of being wrapped in a hug. That’s when I realized there was a need for others to know that they too are not alone, and they are loved.
So out of love, caring and compassion, the company From Home Inc. was born, and the “You are Loved” blanket was created: as an expression of those feelings, and how everyone should know they are loved.
About Us
From Home Inc. was created in July 2007 by two sisters, one brother and his wife. Our passion was born out of a desire to provide comfort and warmth in a time of need for our brother’s wife. She was fighting breast cancer at the time, supporting and helping as much as we could.
It took 2 years of trials and tribulations, as well as an endless amount of phone calls until we got the products just right. Our first product, the “You Are Loved” Blanket, has been very popular. Now we have diversified our product line with many more items coming in the near future, so keep your eyes and your heart open!
